• Upon the choice of ceramic tiling elements consider, please, besides the aesthetic aspect also the demands related to the conditions of use that should be always consulted with the seller upon the purchase, and choose a suitable type of the tiling element.
• The RAKO and LB OBJECT tiles, both those designed for flats and those designed for buildings, (the catalogue number Wxxxxxxx) are suitable only for interior wall tiling.
• The RAKO and LB OBJECT compact ceramic tiling elements (the catalogue number Gxxxxxxx) are frostproof and suitable for application both in terms of exterior and interior wall tiling and for interior floors, facades, swimming pools and the like.
• The RAKO and LB OBJECT sintered ceramic tiling elements (the catalogue number Txxxxxxx, Dxxxxxxx, of the type TAURUS and KENTAUR) dispose of very good frostproof properties and are designed, in first place, for horizontal frostproof paving, e.g. of balconies, terraces. Chosen types of glazed tiles of the type KENTAUR dispose of the highest possible degree of resistance to surface abrasive wear PEI being, thus, suitable, e.g. for floors of restaurants and shops. The unglazed tiles of the type TAURUS with declared anti-skid properties are suitable for floors loaded by a dense movement of persons, e.g. in supermarkets, railway stations, pedestrian subways, administration buildings and the like.
• It is necessary to carefully measure the necesary amount of tiling and to always buy by 5 – 15% of the tiling material more than the theoretical calculations show (material allowances related to the wall, especially in case of placing aslant, of an unexpected modification and/or repair etc.).
• When buying a paving it is always necessary to consult the supposed density of pedestrian traffic in the unit under preparation and choose tiles disposing of a corresponding degree of resistance to abrasion PEI according to this factor.
• In case of more demanding operating conditions from the point of view of the danger of slipping (e.g. wet floors of public showers, surroundings of swimming pools, wet and fat-coated floors of large canteens) it is always necessary to choose suitable anti-skid tiles.
• The laying operations must be carried out by a renowned laying firm. In case that you are going to carry out the laying yourselves, before starting it is necessary to duly and carefully read the corresponding instructions issued by the manufacturers of the ceramic tiles, sealants, glues and cutting tools. In relation to the installation of paving and wall tiling in bathrooms, swimming pools, balconies and terraces we recommend to use the system solution of LB CERAMIC SYSTEM offering procedures of penetration of the base, levelling, hydroinsulating, gluing, jointing and cleaning materials.
• At the latest before the very start of realization of the laying operations themselves, it is necessary to check the goods as supplied by placing it in an area, checking especially the arrangement of décors and compositions. In addition, it is necessary to check the uniformity of the marking of dimensions and colour hues as specified in the corresponding cartons. Never mix dimensions and colour hues with a different carton marking.
• Upon the laying of tiles in quite large areas (ie. above 3 x 3 m) do not forget to realize expansion joints in the area involved, around supporting and dilatation parts of constructions, especially with respect to exterior areas, terraces, facades and to the floor heating.
