The greenest and healthiest offices in Slovakia
Jun 19, 2025
Einpark Offices by Corwin is the first building in Slovakia to meet the highest certification criteria of LEED PLATINUM (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) and LEED Zero Carbon. This places it among the top 1% of the most sustainable buildings in the world. Einpark Offices embodies world-class architecture, sophisticated design, impeccable workmanship and superior environmental care. RAKO large-format ceramic tiles are part of the building and outdoor areas thanks to their stable properties and environmentally friendly production.
Multifunctional complex
EINPARK is a multifunctional complex located in Bratislava's Petržalka district along Einsteinova Street. A previously unused plot of land has been transformed into an attractive location, complementing the urban zone and conveniently connecting Bratislava's most populous district with its centre. The project brings a balanced mix of offices and housing in Einpark Residence in 110 apartments with luxurious views of the sights of the metropolis. It consists of an 18-storey residential tower and a lower office building, creating a natural visual and noise barrier from the busy street. The buildings' technological solutions ensure a high quality of life while contributing to its low energy consumption. EINPARK Offices was the first in Slovakia to achieve LEED Platinum certification, making it one of the most sustainable office buildings in the world. An interesting feature of both buildings, apart from their facades, are their lobbies.

Healthy offices
The seven-storey building with an impressive 16,000 m² of office space has been designed with the highest quality criteria in mind. With advanced durable materials, state-of-the-art technology, carefully selected health-safe materials and a design that respects the exacting requirements of LEED certification, the building provides its tenants with healthy spaces that help increase productivity. Their comfort and convenience is further enhanced by a top floor terrace, balconies with durable RAKO outdoor ceramic tile and a ground floor restaurant. Only the highest quality materials are used throughout the building, emphasising its premium character. Sustainability, which is a key element of the entire project, is complemented by newly built transport infrastructure, electric car chargers and heat pumps. They also make the building the first carbon-neutral building in the region. EINPARK Offices by Corwin in Bratislava is also an exceptional office project thanks to its direct connection to the main traffic arteries, a cycle path connecting Petržalka with the city centre, an integrated bus stop directly in front of the building and Janka Krále Park or the Aupark shopping centre within walking distance.

Colour matters
The neutral colour scheme of the exterior elements and spaces is based primarily on the architectural design of OFIS ARCHITECTS, but has been adapted to the need to increase the energy efficiency of the building. Bright colours, reflective surfaces and a green roof thus work together to help prevent the building from overheating and create a more pleasant, greener and more economical place to work. The bright colours of the materials used, including the tiles, also have a great impact on the overall temperature of the site in an urban environment due to their physical properties. Many factors have influenced the overall colour choice of some of the materials used.

Durability of materials
‘For the terraces and balconies of both Einpark buildings, Kaamos Outdoor 60 x 60 cm ceramic outdoor tiles with a reinforced thickness of 2 cm were chosen as the optimal solution for several key reasons,’ adds Peter Tomčík, RAKO Technical Advisor. "Their unique resistance to changing weather conditions ensures long life and minimal maintenance, making them ideal for busy commercial outdoor spaces. The RAKO project team's maximum effort is always to deliver the best materials to the project that meet the strict technical parameters and requirements of the investor," adds Tomčík. The tiles are not only durable, fire-resistant, but also environmentally friendly, thus contributing to reducing the ecological footprint of the entire building. They are manufactured with the environment in mind and support green building, which is key to achieving certifications such as LEED PLATINUM and LEED Zero Carbon. In addition, their aesthetic qualities make them blend harmoniously into the sophisticated design of the building, ensuring a pleasant and healthy working environment for all office and apartment users. RAKO ceramic tiles in 60 x 60 and 30 x 60 cm formats were also used in the bathrooms and other areas, taking into account ecology, health safety of materials, etc.
