Thank to the winning from RAKO the grandmother has a complete rebuilt bathroom.
At the beginning, there was a humble wish of a 83 year old Emílie to change at least the shower enclosure for a bath tub. Thank to the winning from RAKO, this grandmother from Francova Lhota has eventually a complete rebuilt bathroom. As her grandson Miroslav, who arranged for the reconstruction, admitted, both at the beginning and at the end, there were some tears of joy.
The original 50 year old bathroom in an older house was worn out already, but for the most part, the 83 year old woman worried, that due to her age, she had problems to get into the bath tub on her own. Therefore, she decided to replace it with a shower enclosure, and thereby to rebuild only a part of the bathroom. „When we saw, what in what condition the bathroom is, we eventually persuaded our grandmother to a complete reconstruction,“ the grandson describes the difficulties. His partner regularly buys the magazine Náš útulný byt and therefore, they noticed the contest, took some pictures of grandmother´s bathroom and sent the pictures. „When I read about the win in the magazine, we went to visit our grandmother right away. She kept staring at the page for about 5 minutes, so we did not know, what she was thinking, and then she said, you are written here, did we really win? And then, she was really happy.“
Next tears of joy and emotion came, when it was done. „We had a clear vision of a light bathroom, because there is only a small window in it and therefore a lack of natural light. Furthermore, we like simple style, no frills.“
The Sandstone Plus series tiles were chosen, rectified stone effect floor tiles. The walls were tiled with the format 30 x 60 cm in light gray shade and the seamless surface was atractively broken with a darker stripe of tiles of the same series all around the bathroom. The grey shade of Sandstone Plus 30 x 60 has covered the floor as well. In the new bathroom, a solution for a washing machine, new bathroom cabinets and most importantly, the bath tub was replaced by a more convenient shower enclosure with a seat, to grandmother´s total satisfaction. All the more so, the winning in the competition was enough for both the tiling and the chemical products for building RAKO SYSTEM, penetration, hydroinsulation, silicones and jointing materials. The comfort of the once cold and wet bathroom was raised one level by the tiling, as well as the floor heating.
