The bathroom in the apartment was the last room, that has not been reconstructed yet.
Although the reconstruction was planned, the last proper impulse did not come. This became the winning of the RAKO contest, for which she got signed up by her older daughter Jana. Marie Tomášová with her daughters Jana and Maruška moved to the apartment in April 2017. Today, there also live two tomcats Míša and Miki.
The light pleasant apartment has a spacious bathroom, that unfortunately has no window. Therefore, it looked darker and more cramped than it actually was. This was also negatively affected by the original old green wall tiles. Mrs. Tomášová heard about winning the RAKO contest from her daughter: „She called me and at first, she sadly said: Mum, you have not won..., and then, she added: … we won,“ Marie Tomášová laughs nowadays.
From that moment on, the apartment was very busy. Fortunately, a skilful brother-in-law of Mrs. Tomášová helped and finaly tiled the new bathroom. The 30 x 60 cm wall tiles from the Boa series, imitating marble, caught the attention of both the mother and the daughter at first sight. „We even liked the older series, we thought about the series Next, but in the end, we approved the Boa unanimously,“ Marie Tomášová describes. They used the visualization, the bathroom design from RAKO creativeshop. Just before the implementation, they decided to highlight the Boa tiling with the Board 5 x 5 cm mosaic with a wood-like design. Dividing the mosaic, that is glued onto a net, into two pieces created interesting horizontal listels. The Board mosaic matches the Board floor tiles 30 x 120 cm on the bathroom floor.
Marie wished for a shower enclosure into the bathroom, whereas her daughters wanted a new bath tub. Finally, they reached an agreement and bought a bath tub, to which a shower curtain will be added in some time. However, what they managed to buy despite lack of time, is a large shower head above the bath tub. The look of the new bathroom is complemented by white furniture and a simple mirror cabinet, bold accessories brought some colors in here. Another storage furniture will be added in a matter of time into the bathroom.
